Parent Opportunities and Responsibilities

1. Parent Orientation for the first semester will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. At that time, you will have the opportunity to see the schoolroom, meet your child's teachers, and ask any questions you may have.
   
   
2. Parents will be invited to special events during the year including a Thanksgiving Feast, field trips, and Graduation.
   
   
3. Parents will have opportunities to assist in the classroom during the year. Sign up sheets will be available throughout the year, one to two weeks prior to these opportunities.
   
   
4. For the safety of your child, parents will be required to observe Pick-up and Drop-off Procedures and to keep the Preschool advised of any changes in enrollment information.

Open Door Policy

West Cannon Preschool encourages parents to visit the classroom and to participate as often as possible in scheduled classroom related activities.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off Procedure

In order to assist you with smooth-flowing traffic and to help insure the safety of our children, please observe the following pick-up and drop-off procedures:

1. Please drop-off and pick-up your children using the east side entrance of the building.
   
   
2. Parents or other designated adults must sign the child in by initialing the attendance sheet. Please help your child hang up his/her coat and backpack before entering the classroom.
   
   
3. At departure time an adult must also come in and sign the child out. Please be prompt in picking up your child after class. Picking up your child late on a regular basis will result in an additional charge to your tuition.
