How to Register Your Child

1. Complete the registration form and return it with a check or money order for the $30.00 (non-refundable) registration fee to reserve your child's place. This is a one-time fee — if your child returns for a second year, this fee is not required again.
2. Complete the Child Information Card, Placement Contract, and Health Forms (including immunization records) and return it to the office before the first day of school. (Your child cannot be enrolled without a health form filled out by your physician).

Cost and Payment Procedure-Tuition

West Cannon Preschool offers three payment options for your convenience. You may pay for the whole year in full at the beginning of the year, each semester in full at the beginning of the semester, or you may make eight equal monthly payments over the year.

• Two-day program for three-year-olds: $600.00 per year-$300.00 per semester-$75.00 per month
• Three-day program for four-year-olds: $800.00 per year-$400.00 per semester-$100.00 per month
• Monthly payments are due September 15 & 16, October 15, November 15, December 11/12, January 15, February 15, March 15, and April 15
• Semester Payments are due September 15 & 16 and January 19 & 20

Please make checks payable to WEST CANNON PRESCHOOL. You may drop off your payment when you bring your child to preschool or mail it to the church office. If you have more than one child enrolled at a time we offer a tuition discount of 25% on the least expensive tuition.

Child Eligibility

In order for a child to be eligible to attend West Cannon Preschool, the following requirements must be met:

1. A child must be three years old by December 1, 2008 and must be completely toilet-trained
2. A current record of the required immunizations must be submitted prior to attendance. Also, all school records must be completed and updated.
3. Each child must be dressed modestly and appropriately for ease of bathroom use. Shoes are required each day of school. Please be sure to send shoes with your child if they wear boots to school.
4. Each child will need a school bag or backpack to bring to each session.

Inclement Weather Policy

Anytime Rockford Public School is closed because of inclement weather, West Cannon Preschool will close. If Rockford Public Schools announces a delay because of FOG, we will be OPEN but ask that parents rely on their own judgment in traveling to preschool. If Rockford Public Schools announces a delay due to ICE or SNOW, we will CLOSE. If there is a tornado watch, school is in session the children will be taken to a safe area. You may pick up your child anytime there is a weather advisory. Also, if you are unsure of whether school is open or closed due to weather, you may call 874-6740 extension 109 after 8 AM to hear an updated message.

Admission/Withdrawal Policy

1. Any child between the ages of three and five will be admitted, without discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.
2. Children who evidence serious emotional, mental, or physical problems will be evaluated by teachers and support staff on an individual basis. If they would be overly disruptive or demand undue attention, they would seldom be accepted.
3. A child would seldom be accepted if he/she is considerably less mature than the other children in an available class.
4. A child who is continually disruptive so that the learning of the class is jeopardized may be asked to withdraw from school.
5. A child who withdraws from the school is required to pay for the number of sessions that he/she has attended. In addition, if a child withdraws before the end of the month, that full month's tuition is still due.
