James Grier, Th. D.
Dr. Grier received his Th.B. from Baptist Bible College, M.Div. from Grace Theological Seminary, Th.M. from Westminster Theological Seminary, and Th.D. from Grace Theological Seminary. From 1962-1969 he served as Associate Professor at Cedarville University; from 1969-1982 he served as Vice President and Dean of Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Dr. Grier is currently a Distinguished Professor at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. His research interests include medical ethics and ministry in a postmodern culture.
Jim and his wife Shirley have one adult son who teaches Political Economy at Oklahoma University. Dr. Grier enjoys teaching in Asia, Europe and the UK, doing conference ministry, and reading widely.
Jeffrey Halsted, Ph.D.
Dr. Halsted received his B.A. from Cedarville University in Business Administration and Marketing. He also attended Grand Rapids Theological Seminary where he received his M.Div. in Pastoral Studies and his Th.M. in Historical Theology. He also has a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Calvin Theological Seminary. Jeff is currently the senior pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, when he has served for the past three years. Previously he was pastor of Indian River Baptist Church for about seven years. He enjoys writing in the areas of theological prolegomena.
Jeff and his wife Robin have two children. He enjoys boating and canoeing as well as basketball and tennis. He also likes reading philosophy and theology books and Dr. Suess.
Michael Wittmer, Ph. D.
Dr. Wittmer received his B.A. from Cedarville University. He also has his M.Div. and Th. M. degrees from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and received his Ph.D. from Calvin Theological Seminary. He served as a missionary to China from 1990-1992 and joined the faculty at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 1996. He is also Director for the Center for Christian Worldview at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. As a lecturer, he holds "What It's All About" seminars on Christian worldview. His research interests include Christian worldview, creation/culture, anthropology, and redemption. Mike's book, Heaven Is a Place on Earth was published by Zondervan in 2004.
Mike and his wife Julie have three children and are members of West Cannon Baptist Church in Belmont, Michigan, where Mike team teaches an Adult Bible Class and Julie is involved in the music ministry.
