Church Staff

Pastor Doug served as Pastor of Youth Ministries at West Cannon Baptist Church for six years before becoming the Senior Pastor in 1986. He is a graduate of Grand Rapids Baptist College (Cornerstone University-B.A.) and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (M.R.E.). Doug and his wife, Kathy, have six children: Douglas (Rose), Kristen, Emily (Caleb Clark), Alyssa, Laura, and Wesley.

Pastor Mark joined the staff in 1998. He works closely with Pastor Doug, assisting him in his administrative duties and oversees the staff. He also plans and leads West Cannon's music and worship. Mark graduated from Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania (B.S.). He is currently working on his M.A. degree at the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Mark and his wife, Marsha, have four children: Joshua, Katelyn, Kendra, and Kiley.

Pastor John oversees the junior high, high school, and college/career ministries. He began part time in 1989 and has served full time since 1991. John graduated from Clearwater Christian College (B.S.) and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (M.T.S.). John and his wife, Carol, have four children: Brittany, Bethany, Aubrey, and Josiah.

Pastor Dave serves part time, overseeing the church finances and administrating the West Cannon Preschool. Dave began at West Cannon in 1991 as Pastor of Christian Education before assuming his current responsibilities. He graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College (B.A.) and from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (M.R.E.). Dave and his wife, Mary, have four children: David, William, Melissa, and Carissa.

Tim Anderson joined the staff in 2003. He is responsible for recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers who minister at West Cannon. Tim attended Grand Rapids Baptist College (Cornerstone University). Tim and his wife, Debbie, have four children: Kenny, Kelly, David, and Daniel.

Pastor David joined the staff in 2006. He is part-time and calls on the visitors, ill, and elderly, along with developing care and visitation programs. David and Anne retired from the ministry and were part of the Interpas ministry for the last few years. Interpas supplies retired pastors to intern in churches where their pastors have left due to taking another church or problems in that church. David graduated from Dallas Bible College (B.A.) and from Calvary Bible College, Kansas City, Missouri (Masters). David and his wife, Anne, have three children: Alice Humble (Michael), Karen Steele (Michael), and David Henriksen (Shanthi).

Rosalie joined the staff in 2006. Her primary responsibilities are related providing support and organization to Children’s Ministries. Rosalie is married to Keith and a mother to four children, Caleb (Emily), Bryan, Bethany (Chadd), and Calvin.
