Women's Ministry
The Women's Ministry of West Cannon Baptist Church seeks to nurture women
in their relationships with God and one another, to help women develop their
unique abilities and gifts, and to equip them to better love and serve their
familes, communities, church, and the world for the glory of God.

Blessing Buddies
| |
Encourage a secret friend throughout the year with prayer, notes, small gifts, etc.

Bible Study
| |
- Tuesday Mornings - 9:30-11:15 a.m. (childcare provided)
- Tuesday Evenings - 7:00-8:15 p.m.
- Wednesday Evenings - 7:00-8:15 p.m. (childcare provided)
- This years studies are in 1 and 2 Peter: Your Faith on Trial, by Dorothy Davis, and
Living with Discernment in the End Times, by Kay Arthur. Both studies are available Tuesday
mornings and Wednesday evenings; Tuesday evenings study will use the book Your Faith on Trial.

Cooking Club
| |
This is a great opportunity to share your cooking with ladies from church. Cook a main dish
for every woman in your group, freeze it, and meet together to exchange your dishes every four to six weeks.
|
Craft Night
| |
Bring your favorite craft—scrapbooking, quilting, knitting, etc.—and join a group of women for
a great night of fun, working on your project here at church.
|
Ladies' Night Out
| |
A time of fun, activity, and challenge for women only. Bring your own dinner and enjoy a night out!
The cost is $2 per person. Bring your friends and neighbors!

Far Above Rubies
| |
Based upon the Proverbs 31 woman, this ministry includes tips on grocery shopping, economical
meal planning, housecleaning, organization, and much, much more! Lots of fun and games—all
women are welcome. Meets September through October, if there is enough interest.

MOPS — Mothers of Preschoolers
| |
Celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections, and experiencing God's love...
through relationships and resources. For moms with children, ages infant through kindergarten;
MOPS meets every other Thursday, September 18, 2008 through April 16, 2009, from 9–11:30 AM.

Prayer Partners
| |
This group meets together for one hour the first Monday evening of each month to pray for
Women's Ministries (at Aileen Baab's, 3955 Keeweenaw Drive NE, Grand Rapids).

Sister-Friend
| |
Based on Titus 2:4–5, Sister-Friend is a one-on-one program where two women commit to meet
on a regular basis to encourage each other and to grown in Christ together (training/guidance is available).
