Worship

Johann Sebastian Bach said, "The aim and final reason of all music is none else but the glory of God and the refreshment of the spirit." West Cannon is blessed to have gifted singers and skillful instrumentalists who participate in our ministry week after week. It is our goal to present music that glorifies God and edifies and ministers to the saints who worship here with us.

"And he put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord." (Psalm 40:3).

Adult Choir (9th grade through Adult)

The choir rehearses every Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. The choir ministers every Sunday morning during the school year as well as special times throughout the summer. The choir also presents special Christmas and Easter presentations.

Orchestra

The orchestra rehearses at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday evenings in the music room. The orchestra accompanies the congregational singing on Sunday mornings and joins the choir for special anthems.

Ministries in Music

For those particularly gifted in singing there are opportunities for ministry by singing in quartets, trios, small ensembles and solos.

KFC Choir (K-5th grade)

The children's choir meets in modules of rehersals several times a year to prepare for certain ministry opportunities.
